The Power Of One Nail

The last couple of weeks have shown us just how powerful one nail can be!!

About a month ago, the grout in the floor of our passage started getting quite dark and we had to call in a plumber to see if there was a leak.

The inspection found that when our house was first built, a nail used to secure the plasterboard to the bathroom wall had pierced one of the tap hoses to our shower.

At first, the end of the nail had sealed the hole in the hose, but after 7 years of being soaked by water, the end of this nail had finally rusted and fallen off and water had started coming through the hole in the hose.

This one small nail resulted in 4 walls and 2 door frames being replaced and walls in 4 rooms and our passage needed to be repainted.

What has this got to do with business I hear you ask?

If something as insignificant as one small nail can have such a large impact on a house, what "one small thing" can you do to have a large impact on the profitability of your business?

There must be something you have been thinking about doing for ages that, if implemented, could have a huge impact on your business.

Is it time to start testing those "little things" to see if they can significantly increase your business profitability?

Who knows - perhaps one of them could have as big an impact on your business as one small nail had on our house!!!
