What's That Old Saying Again?

Call it Karma - call it co-incidence - call it whatever you want, but something happened this week that really made me believe in the old saying "When The Student Is Ready The Teacher Will Appear".
Earlier in the week I was consulting with a client of mine and we are putting together a marketing campaign to attract more customers to his business.
The process involves sending out a brief introduction letter to potential leads and then a few days later a phone call to this lead to arrange a time to meet and discuss the opportunity of starting a business relationship.
Like most business owners, my client is a little apprehensive about this initial phone call - questions like "How do I start the conversation?", "How do I handle objections?" and "What if they hang up in my ear?" is making this first phone call quite a daunting assignment for him.
Ways in which to help him have been taking up a fair bit of my "thought space" over the last couple of days and then - all of a sudden - the answer fell straight into my lap!!!
You've all heard me "banging on" about the BookPals project that I am currently working on and you would probably know by now that I have a podcast - the BookPals Business Sanity Podcast - where I interview people to give business owners hints and tips to help make their business life just that little bit easier.
Anyway, last Friday I interviewed a lady based in New York called Wendy Weiss of ColdCallingResults.com.
Wendy is also known as The Queen of Cold Calling and during our discussion she told me about a resource she provides that is exactly what my customer needs to help him with starting his cold calling campaigns.
I won't bore you with the details again here - head on over to the blog post I created at BookPals and check it out - it is a wonderful resource and if you are also one of those people who simply have to start picking up the phone to start introducing people to your product or service, this resource will be invaluable to you.
